Frustration

Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we're here we should dance.
 ~ Author Unknown

Life. It is such a fragile thing that we may often take for granted. Sometimes it moves too fast and we feel we are in a whirlwind of events. Other times life stands still and we feel there is nothing we can do to make it right. When this happens, we may become very frustrated and sad because we want to be the person we were just a short time ago, but we know we won't be that person for awhile. There may be a struggle going on in our lives that we find hard to deal with and no matter how hard we may try, those around us cannot and will never truly understand. We are standing still just waiting to be free. The waiting is the most frustrating thing because we as humans are social people. However, when there is nothing we can do to be social when our life is standing still. We may retreat into ourselves and start to feel sadness and loneliness. Everyone says it will get better. We know that it will, but it seems like we can't wait any longer and we just want to break free. At this point, we must look to our hope. Hope that we can make it to the time when our life will move again. Hope that it will get better. Hope that people have not forgotten about us. Hope that others will find it in themselves to know what we are going through. Hope that one day that life will be better again.

Surprises

A story to me means a plot where there is some surprise. Because that is how life is - full of surprises. ~ Isaac Bashevis Singer

Sometimes people can surprise you. It can be just the gentle touch or the loving hug of a special friend. Sometimes the ones who you think don't really care anymore do the littlest things that can make you the happiest. And then there are times that people you may not even know surprise you and turn your world upsides down for the worest. Sometimes in life we are dealt cards that do not seem fair to us at all. Isn't it enough to have one big thing happen bad in your life as opposed to several little things? But what happens when several big things happen to us in our lives? How can that be fair? I think that maybe life gives us events that are meant to teach us that life is not fair. It is a sad realization, but once we accept the fact that bad things are going to continue to happen to us throughout life, maybe we can come to the realization that the good times in our life really need to be cherished to the fullest. We don't always get what we want and we don't always get the cards we wish we could have. It's hard for us to look at all those happy people in the world and wish that for one day our lives would be perfect just like theirs. However, in reality, is their life really perfect? Is anyone life perfect? I think the answer to this is no. No one is perfect therefore no one's life can be perfect. Without a doubt, it just seems that some people have harder lives then others. This is why I think their friends need to stick by them no matter what and truly be sympathetic towards them because they need all the support they can get.
